=== Creation of ''The VGM Jam'' ===
According to its creator, TriforceComet, he came up with the idea while listening to ''[[The DJ Hour]].'' He quickly realized that he was the only person that regularly submitted video game music to the show, and wanted to explore that theme further in his own show. It was conceptualized in early January 2025.

He formally announced the show on January 13, 2025, stating that the show is "a show exclusively dedicated to video game music. Whether its based on genre, series, or console it was released on, only games that fit the theme of the episode will be eligible." The first episode was aired the next day on January 14, 2025.
