Episode 2 of The DJ Hour is the second episode of the interactive radio program The DJ Hour. It aired live on Osolia Public Radio on January 11th, 2024. It was aired 3 days after Episode 1.
It was announced to start at 10 PM UTC, but it was delayed, and it ended up starting at 11 PM UTC.
Episode content
The episode starts with the host, Michael Webb, greeting the audience and explaining the premise of the program, much like Episode 1, before playing the national anthem of Osolia. On the conclusion of the national anthem, Webb explains how the audience can request music. His starting song request for the show was "She's So High" by Tal Bachman, which he first discovered when Star requested it on the previous episode.
At 26 minutes into the episode, Webb introduces the halftime song, a remaster of Imposing Premonition by tz_scion. This was its first debut, as it wouldn't be released to streaming platforms until February 14th, 2024. TheGoldenPud requested for the previous episode's halftime song to be played, as he wasn't there to hear it. Webb obliged this request and played an Osol language cover of Buddy Holly by Weezer, produced and performed by tz_scion.
Webb's song request for the final song was Can't Let Go by DJVI. In the previous episode, he used a different DJVI song to close out the show. This is also the first episode in which he finishes the show by thanking the audience and letting them know that regular programming will start, rather than letting his final song finish and go straight to regular programming.
