Vinyl Vantage is an interactive radio program that has been hosted on Osolia Public Radio since September 11, 2024. The show was created by Josephine and Michael Webb and is hosted by Josephine, with Michael Webb serving as producer.
History
Creation of Vinyl Vantage
On September 8th, 2024, Josephine had the idea to create her own radio program while listening to an episode of The DJ Hour. She immediately messaged Michael Webb, the owner of OPR, with her idea and the two workshopped it into Vinyl Vantage. The show initially intended to focus entirely on heavy metal, but the show was broadened to focus on all classic rock music.
With this in mind, a poll was conducted that evening which informed Josephine and Webb that five people were interested in listening, and a further three supported its existence. The pilot would eventually air on September 11th, 2024.
