The idea for my.osolia was first started in the Republic of Melonia as what was then referred to as gov.melonia. The gov.melonia project began work around mid-November and featured many of the features that are now on my.osolia. The website had many proposed features, such as the ability to vote and file taxes. The plan of gov.melonia also had the proposed idea of OneMelonia, which would have been an account system that would have had the ability to autofill common information about Melonians. The establishment of gov.melonia was written in a bill that was never voted on but was discussed. gov.melonia was never able to be established and used in Melonia as the online nation was defunct on 16 December, 2023 at 6:00 am UTC.
