Osolia, officially the Chiefdom of Osolia, is an online Minecraft nation. It is the sole government in the Osolian world. The nation practices direct democracy through the election of the Osolian Chief and Speaker. The capital of Osolia is Sahosam.
Politics
Power in Osolia is divided between the three branches of government: the executive, the legislature, and the judiciary.
The Chief and the Chief's Council form the executive of the Osolian state. The Chief is directly elected every 2 months and appoints Directors to the Chief's Council, subject to the approval of the Assembly.
Most of the power in Osolia lies with the legislature, which includes all citizens and residents. All Osolians can vote on the measures and bills proposed to the Assembly. The legislature is headed by the Speaker, who is elected concurrently with the Chief in a general election.
The current Chief is TriforceComet following the June 2024 Osolian General Election. The current Speaker is tz_scion, the incumbent since the founding of the nation.
