The Department of City Planning is a department of the Osolian government which is responsible for approving new construction projects, especially in the city of Sahosam, and for planning and executing on government projects such as highways.

History

The Department of City Planning was established on December 15, 2023. Speaker tz_scion was chosen to be the first Director of City Planning due to his extensive experience with this kind of position in Osolia's predecessor, the Republic of Melonia.

On June 16, 2024, during the June 2024 Osolian general election, Director Scion resigned from his position, citing that CalvinX was the City Planning candidate of both of Chief Webb's opponents, and that he had a lot of passion for the position that Scion no longer held. On the same day, Chief TriforceComet defeated incumbent Chief Michael Webb, and officially appointed CalvinX to the position. The Assembly unanimously voted to approve Calvin as the new Director of City Planning. The full results are listed below.
