The Department of Events is a department of the Osolian government which is responsible for creating and operating community and in-game events, such as Minecraft minigames, Jackbox nights, and movie nights.

History

The Department of City Planning was established on April 16, 2024 by Chief Michael Webb in response to the growing demand for action by the Osolian government to address stagnancy and inactivity on the Osolian Minecraft server. Initially, Webb was going to appoint now-Chief TriforceComet to this position, but Triforce declined due to being unable to take on responsibilities such as a Cabinet role at the time.

Webb instead appointed at-the-time First Lady TheCelestialJellyfish aka Star. In a statement the Chief's Office published on April 16, 2024, Chief Webb stated, "She is an amazing builder, and has the leadership skills and abilities to create some great events for all of us to enjoy." The Osolian Assembly voted with a large majority to appoint TheCelestialJellyfish to this position, and she still holds the position to this day. The vote tally of the measure is listed below.
