The Digital Osolia Office is an independent agency of the Osolian state which is responsible for managing the my.osolia platform.

The agency is led by Hydrogen, who is also the lead developer for the my.osolia project.

History

The Office is a continuation of the Digital Melonia Office, the agency that led the development of my.osolia's predecessor in the Republic of Melonia, gov.melonia. It was formed as an independent agency outside the executive branch, a practice which was carried over to Osolia, ensuring the site is independent of political biases or pressure.

The my.osolia project was released to the Osolian public on May 29, 2024. This was the first time an independent agency was established in Osolia. The Digital Osolia Office oversaw the administration of the June 2024 Osolian general election and the August 2024 Osolian general election, alongside the Office of the Speaker of the Assembly.

Many articles have been added to my.osolia, such as articles explaining the Diamond Cent and the Osolia ATM bot, how to obtain starter housing, and how to invite players to Osolia.

Responsibilities

The main responsibility of the Digital Osolia Office is to run the my.osolia platform, a website that provides information on government activities, guidance on topics such as citizenship, finances, lawsuits, etc. Additionally, my.osolia serves as the home of Osolian elections, allowing users to more securely and easily vote compared to the previous method of Google Forms, and for election results to be calculated instantaneously rather than manually.
